Launching Global Sports Partnerships
I have had the privilege to announce new global partnerships with several of the biggest rights holders in sport, delivering widespread awareness of these agreements.
The ICC
In June 2023, I worked to announce DP World’s agreement to become the International Cricket Council’s Global Logistics Partner. This announcement was made via a ceremonial signing event at The Oval on the eve of the ICC World Test Championship Final.
At this event, we hosted several media for interview opportunities with the C-suite from DP World and leadership form the ICC. We also captured owned content, featuring these key representatives, as well as ambassador and former India head coach and world cup winning player, Ravi Shastri.
Coverage of the partnership was secured worldwide.
The Ryder Cup
In July 2023, I was across the announcement of DP World’s Worldwide Partnership with the Ryder Cup. I worked on the development of an announcement video for owned channels, as well as securing global earned coverage.
To maximise internal buy-in to the new partnership, I developed a multi-phase internal comms campaign. This included a series of intranet posts, achieving 400% higher readership than average, creation of assets for office screens and a staff competition to win tickets to the event.
McLaren F1
Ahead of the 2023 Formula One season, I worked across the announcement of DP World's partnership with the McLaren F1 team.
This involved close collaboration with the rights holder and strategic use of contractual assets and negotiation of added-value.
